Woman with winter dry skin tips

Winter weather can do a number on our skin. The cold weather, the decreased humidity, and cold winds wear down our skin’s barrier. The result? Red, dry, irritated skin. Be one step ahead. Get ready for winter and prevent winter dry skin with these easy face and body treatments.

#1 Exfoliate (also your Lips)

Use a gentle and effective exfoliating gel once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and give your skin a fresh glow. This is particularly important when winter weather dries our skin.

But don't just exfoliate your face, exfoliate your lips too!

We recommend either Annique Rooibos's Essense Enzymatic Exfoliator or the Essense Crème Exfoliator for gentle winter care of your face and lips.

#2 Treat your Skin to a Hydrating Masque

When the sun sets early and, baby, it's cold outside, there's no better place than our cozy beds. Why not make the most of our extra shuteye with a hydrating masque. There are two you can even leave on overnight!

For an overnight treatment, choose between Annique Rooibos's

In both instances, first apply the Essense Miracle Tissue Oil, then follow it with the overnight masque. Next apply your night cream for a deep hydration that has all night to soak in, reviving and plumping your skin.
If you are looking for a skin detox and clear skin, then nab the Essense Skin Detox Masque

Don't forget winter is also a great time to curl up on the couch with a book and hydrate your skin with Annique Rooibos's Forever Young Anti-Photoaging Sheet Masque.

We've got your masque covered!

#3 Have a Hand Cream Ready

Seriously, stock up on hand cream and especially Annique Rooibos's Miracle Tissue Oil Hand and Nail Treatment. Keep one tucked next to your bed, close to the kitchen sink, in your car and at your desk.

Apply hand cream multiple times during the day, after washing the dishes, while waiting at a traffic light, on hold, and just before you turn your lights out for the night.

You won't be sorry, and your hands will thank you for it.

#4 Moisturize your Body as if it was your Face

Well, perhaps not with the exact same products as your face, although you are welcome to, but with the exact same care. We recommend using a body scrub in the shower once a week and lathering on Annique Rooibos's Miracle Tissue Oil Body Butter twice a day.

Anytime you wash your body, you strip your skin of the natural oils it needs to retain moisture. That is why it is important to use a gentle soap and to help your skin retain moisture with a good body butter.

How good is Annique Rooibos's Miracle Tissue Oil Body Butter? Well, we are having trouble keeping it in stock.

#5 Use sunscreen in Winter as you would in Summer

It's important to protect our skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays anytime of the year.

Choose a sunscreen with a low SPF toxicity rating. This means the active SPF ingredient is one of three: titanium dioxide, zinc oxide or avobenzone.

Stock up and be ready for winter!
